Haikus are like the distillate of an emotion. Just write what you feel!
Free ka Gyaan: A 5-7-5 syllable structure and a reference to some season/related thing is apparently a requirement for a Haiku in Japanese. However for foriegn languages like english the rules are sometimes not obeyed.
